People won't pay for quality they've never experienced.
Bad experiences with cheap coaching have trained consumers to make price-motivated decisions, not quality-motivated ones. They don't know what great coaching looks like — so they don't pay for it. The best practitioners get overlooked.

Graduates, exercise physiologists, S&C coaches — the ones who actually know what they're doing — are leaving the industry. Not because they stop caring about the work. Because the financial model never adds up. No path forward. So they find one somewhere else.

The shortage makes everything worse.
When good coaches leave, the industry fills with well-intentioned but inexperienced practitioners. Quality becomes harder to find. Only those with the means get access to excellent coaching. Everyone else gets whatever's left.

I started thinking about this problem when Brisbane houses were around $600k. Now they're $1.18 million. The industry hasn't kept pace — and the coaches paying the price are the good ones.

Housing isn't just a financial goal. It's a foundation. Maslow's hierarchy of needs puts shelter at the base for a reason — it's the platform everything else is built on. Security. Stability. The ability to plan a future. My aspiration is that every coach who wants to build a real career in this industry has a genuine path to get there. Not because it's a nice idea. Because coaching changes lives — and the people doing that work deserve to build one too.

This isn't a casual job. It never was. This course is my most direct attempt to make sure it stops being treated like one.
